Press Release For Immediate Release - January 15, 2006 Jeanette Mattsson joins Design-First as Vice President of Business Development. Jeanette Mattsson, who grew up in Östhammar, Sweden, has joined Design-First. She will be responsible for identifying potential clients in Sweden that will need help in marketing their products in the American market place. "I moved to the U.S. six years ago after being recruited by the University of Georgia to play on their tennis team. I saw that as a great opportunity to combine my tennis with university studies," said Jeanette Mattsson. "I am very excited about helping to bring more Swedish products to the U.S." In addition to her participation in sports including achieving number one NCAA Team ranking, Number 54 singles ranking and Number 1 Swedish singles, doubles and team ranking, Jeanette was a member of the Di Gamma Kappa Broadcasting Society, member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, Presidential Scholar and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Through social events in the Swedish community in Atlanta, Georgia, Jeanette first met Fia Baker, and learned that Design-First was marketing to Swedish companies. She immediately saw this as an opportunity to put her marketing experience to work, and as a way to help Swedish companies in the process. Prior to joining Design-First, she has worked as a reporter at two newspapers and as a Public Relations Specialist for Accountants One in Atlanta, Georgia. "Jeanette is proving herself to be a valuable as she can meet with and help clients in Sweden, and help them better understand why it is so important to understand the American marketplace before starting a marketing program," according to Vann Baker, president of Design-First. Jeanette Mattsson is currently living in Östhammar, Sweden, but hopes to return to the U.S. one day to continue her law studies.
