We have a five-step methodology that organizes every project into smaller steps. This approach helps us to be thorough, efficient and to not overwhelm our clients.

Discovery
Discovery is the process of determining the scope of any project as well as learning about the client's business, project goals and expectations, identifying potential issues, discussing budgets and time lines.
The Discovery process usually begins with Design-First providing a Marketing or Website Questionnaire.
This detailed questionnaire is designed so that Design-First can fully understand your business, target audience and other details which are important to a successful project.
After the questionnaire has been completed, Design-First reviews the questionnaire in detail, then will schedule a time to either meet in person or by phone in order to clarify project details.
Requirements Documentation
Requirements Documentation follows the Discovery process. This document will summarize exactly what the project requires. This document is used for estimating the project cost and will become part of a formal Project Proposal document.
Project Proposals
Proposals are a detailed document for a specific project. Proposals will contain the various project tasks in as much detail as possible based on the Discovery process.
Project proposals will be an exact price quotation, provided Design-First has received enough information from the Discovery process to determine exactly what is needed for the project. Some projects require research and additional requirements gathering or may have several "unknowns" in which case these Project Proposals are provided as an estimate.
Project Management
Project management is provided by assigning a project manager to oversee the creative or development team assigned to your project.
When the project is initiated, a Project Plan will be provided detailing the work schedule and project milestones. Weekly status reports will be provided in writing to keep everyone involved in the project up to date on project progress, and will detail any issues and materials needed from the client.
Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance is provided by involving our clients in a review process.
For graphic design and print work, we provide concept designs and printing proofs for approval by clients before any files are sent to the printer.
For website work or custom application programming, our clients have an opportunity to review the website or application and test the same before acceptance.
