The Challenge
The previous website was not "search engine friendly," and the overuse of a gray background made reading the website text difficult, and search marketing campaigns were not working well.
The challenge for redesigning the new Access Management Group website was to not only create a more SEO-friendly website design, but to make the website more inviting and functional for the visitors, and to provide additional pages to work with a new search marketing campaign.
Client Background
Access Management Group is a community management company which provides many services for homeowner and condo associations around the country.
The previous website had a few websites pages, with much of the website content "hidden" beneath tabs in the page, making it difficult for potential customers to find information quickly and easily, and impossible for search engines to find all the website content.
The Solution
Design-First redesigned the Access Management Group's website, and implemented the following:
- Utilization of primary, secondary and tertiary navigation so all pages are accessible using the top navigation menu.
- Added a search field so visitors can search by keywords and phrases.
- Created lighter, user-friendly pages, with brighter graphics.
- Integrated a content management system so client can add new pages, update content and un-publish articles as needed.
- Google Analytics is used to track website visitor usage and tracking code is used to track visitor conversion.
- Created additional call to action graphics for special login and form pages.
- Added several form pages for users to request specific community documents.
- Added an automatic sitemap.xml application was implemented to provide search engines with all the pages in the website.
The Results
The new website has been well received:
- Access Management Group is receiving more email requests and less phone calls for routine document requests.
- The website is now fully searchable by search engines.
- The website works effectively with an ongoing search marketing campaign.
- The website has increased natural organic search engine rankings.
- With minimal training, the client is now able to make updates to the website.
- The website was relisted with major search engines to improve rankings.
- General public is able to easily find the information they need.
